Baking a cake together! Unfortunately this tradition was a bit tough for my now 7 year olds birthday as we are moving and selling our house. ReplyDeleteMy favorite is the one we are starting with our children. They get to choose if they want to go to the store and pick out a cake or if they want mama to make them a cake and they get to help decorate. So the day of their birthday, I get to either take them out to pick out a cake or let them help me decorate one I made for them. This past year, my son chose to help decorate so we made a construction theme cake and he had a blast picking out what trucks he wanted on the cake and was thrilled when he got to dig out one of the corners with his backhoe. And my daughter chose to go pick one out at the store.
